The anatomical structures that make up the Brain are many and divided by regions, each with a specific function. Among them: the Telencephalon, in which the main component is the cerebral cortex; the Diencephalon, formed by the Thalamus, Hypothalamus, Pineal Gland and others; the midbrain; the Pons; the Medulla Oblongata and the Cerebelli. All of them are located inside the skull and are protected by three meninges: Dura Mater, Arachnoid Mater and Pia Mater. When the body moves, messages travel from the brain to the spinal cord. The spinal cord is a tubular bundle of nerve tissue and support cells that extends from the brain stem to the lumbar vertebrae.
